Aim: What were the principles of government covered in the founding documents of Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, and Federalist Papers? 
Bell Ringer: Review the principles of the founding documents: Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, Federalist Papers.  (Think-Pair-Share)
Objectives:  
  1. 1. Bell Ringer in Think-Pair-Share fashion (10 min) 
  1.      A. What principles does the Declaration of Independence express?  
  1.      B. What principles does the Articles of Confederation express?  
  1.      C. What principles does the Federalist Papers express?  

  1. 2. Complete “A Young Nation”  
  1. 3. Students are to work on a one page response answering the following question: Evaluate and support the ideals and principles of the three founding documents discussed in class. Did these documents shape American democracy? 

Home Learning: Work on your one page paper, "Principles of Founding Documents" due on Monday.
